Switching the air conditioner off or on

This symbol is probably the most common and easiest to identify of all air conditioning systems. It is frequently located at the top left of your remote control and takes the form of a circled capital "i". Simply press this button once to turn your air conditioning unit on or off.

Turning the air conditioner into a heater

Represented by a snowflake, this function is present on air conditioners with a reversible function. The reversible side of your appliance allows you to cool the room in the summer or heat it in the winter. By pressing this button, you indicate to your air conditioner that you want to switch to heating mode and not cooling mode.

Activate the ventilation mode

Represented by fan blades, this is a mode that can be activated regardless of whether the air conditioning unit is in hot or cold mode. This function is energy efficient, as it only uses the unit's fans and does not heat or cool the room.

Switch to automatic mode

If your air conditioner is new, you probably have the automatic mode. Symbolised by two arrows in the form of a circle, this function allows your unit to be activated only when necessary, in order to maintain or reach the desired temperature in the room.

Changing the horizontal oscillation

The principle of horizontal oscillation is the same as for vertical oscillation. This button, symbolised by three waves, allows you to choose in which direction (left or right) you want the air conditioner to blow the air.

Setting the temperature

This function can be controlled using the plus and minus buttons on your remote control. They are usually positioned next to each other on the remote control. Their main purpose is to adjust the room temperature. So if you want to increase the temperature, just press the plus button. On the other hand, if you press the "minus" button, you will lower the room temperature.

Switching to cold mode

To return to cooling mode, you must press the sun button. The opposite of the snowflake, this symbol allows you to activate the cooling function of the appliance. In general, you only have to click once, at the end of winter.

Adjusting the ventilation power

The fan power is indicated by bars. The more bars the air conditioner has, the higher the speed of the unit. In addition, it allows heat or cool to be distributed more or less quickly in the space where the air conditioner is installed.

Adjusting the vertical oscillation

The direction of the air flow is important when cooling or heating a room. In order to provide maximum comfort to users, this button allows you to adjust the vertical oscillation of the air conditioner. To do this, simply press and hold the button. Note: this mode is represented by three arrows coming out of a rectangle from the bottom.

Activate Turbo mode

If your need is to cool or heat your living space quickly, then the turbo mode is the one for you. Represented by fan blades and the word ON, this button temporarily activates the air conditioner's turbo mode. Beware, however, of the extra energy consumption if you use it for a long time.

Switch to dry mode

The function of an air conditioning system is not only to produce hot or cold air. It also has the special feature of being able to dehumidify the air in the room. This is why you will find the dry mode symbol on your remote control. This means that when you activate it, your air conditioner starts to remove all the unpleasant moisture from the indoor air.
